Scott has served as Rector of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and Day School since June 1, 2007. Scott grew up in Victoria, Texas where he attended St. Joseph High School, Victoria College, and the University of Houston-Victoria, where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Communication. Scott worked as a high school football and basketball coach before attending seminary at The University of the South School of Theology in Sewanee, Tennessee. Scott graduated from Seminary with a Masters in Divinity in 2002 and was ordained a Deacon that same year and a Priest in February of 2003. Prior to serving at St. Alban’s, Scott served as the Assistant Rector at St. David’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio and also as Chaplain at TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas. Scott is married to Kimberly and they are the proud parents of Parker and Christopher.

Rev. Judy Sessions
Associate Rector

Judy Sessions came to St. Alban’s in 2000 as Associate Rector. Judy grew up in Tulsa, OK and graduated from The Colorado College, Colorado Springs in 1966 with a BA in Political Science. She served as a teacher of English as a Second Language in the Peace Corps in Tunisia from 1966-69. After years of spiritual searching, Judy was confirmed in the Episcopal Church in 1981. She served as parish secretary and lay pastoral assistant at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tulsa until becoming a postulant for priesthood and attending The Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin from 1989-91, graduating with a Master of Divinity degree. Ordained as a priest in 1992, Judy did post-graduate work at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA until called to serve as assistant/Associate Rector at Grace St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Tucson, AZ from 1994-1998. She then served as Priest Associate at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in LaUnion, NM until she was called to St. Alban’s.

BJ Hennessee

BJ has been a member of St. Alban’s since 1959 and has served the church and school in many capacities. In 1996 she volunteered in the church office which led to a full time position as Parish Administrator. She served two terms on the St. Alban’s School Board, currently serves as treasurer of the ECW and has been Altar Guild Directress since 1996.

Mary Katherine Duffy
Head of School

Mary Katherine Duffy is in her sixth year as Head of School. Prior to coming to St. Alban’s, she taught four years at Harlingen High School. Mary Katherine has a B.B.A. in Marketing from Texas Tech University and a Master of Agriculture in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University. She is Texas State certified to teach Business Administration (6-12) and Special Education (6-12). Mary Katherine is married to Bryan Duffy and has two children, Clara and Hayes. She is an active member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and has served in leadership positions in a number of community organizations including The Algodon Club and the Junior League of Harlingen (sustaining member).

Tracy Lamon
Assistant Head of School

Tracy Lamon is in her second year as Assistant Head of School. Prior to this, she served as a 5th/6th Grade Teacher for two years and the Enrichment Coordinator for two years. Tracy has a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialization in reading from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches. She has a Texas Teaching certificate 1-8 and has a total of 12 years experience in education. Tracy is married to Michael Lamon and has two children, Hunter and Lilly. She is a member of the First United Methodist and currently serves in a leadership position for the American Heart Association and the Valley Baptist Foundation Board of Directors.

Paige Matlock
Parish Secretary

Paige Matlock joined St. Alban’s Episcopal Church as Parish Secretary in March 2007. Paige has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from the University of Mississippi. Before joining St. Alban’s, Paige worked in a number of communications-related jobs including Internal Communications Manager at Alcatel in Plano, Texas and Public Relations Coordinator for the Memphis Zoo & Aquarium. Paige is married to Scott Matlock and they have one son, Jack Matlock. She is a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. In addition, Paige is currently serving as President of the St. Alban’s Episcopal Day School Board of Trustees.

Juan Jackson
Director of Youth Ministry

Originally from Puerto Rico, Juan Carlos grew up in La Porte, Texas. He worked for Motorola in Austin for several years, before moving to the Valley to attend nursing school. He has an Associates degree in science from Northwest Vista in San Antonio. Juan is married to Dr. Stephanie Jackson, and they have one beautiful child, Isabella.

Ivette Connell
Director of Children’s Ministry

Ivette Connell joined St. Alban’s Episcopal Church as Director of Children’s Ministries in September 2007. Ivette grew up in Panama and came to the States to attend the University of Texas at Austin. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development with a Minor in Spanish, she taught in a First Grade Bilingual Classroom for 10 years. Ivette is married to Austin Connell III and they have two children, Isabella and Austin IV. She is a member of St Alban’s Episcopal Church and is currently serving as the Vice President of the PALS Board at St. Alban’s Episcopal Day School.
