Approximately 50 young people from grades five through twelve make up the St. Alban’s Acolyte Program. The Acolyte Program allows young people to assist the priest in the performance of the service. The duties include such things as assisting the priest prepare the Altar for Holy Eucharist, carrying the cross, flags, and torches and lighting the candles during the service.
Being an Acolyte requires dedication and responsibility. It is a privilege and honor to serve at God’s Altar as an Acolyte. Any young person in grades five through twelve who thinks he or she might be called to this Ministry in encouraged to contact the church office at 428-2305.
